The Fruit of Labour is Sweet!

The Central Board of Secondary Education declared Grades X and XIl results last week. In retrospect, the past academic year had been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride with the Board bringing in major changes in the examination pattern for Grades X and XII.

The new bifurcated examination pattern had created a furore and added fuel to the flames of uncertainty. It had not helped that the students had to gear up and face two very different exam styles - an objective Term I paper and a subjective Term Il one.

With the guidance provided by the Board, the School left no stone unturned and set about confidently equipping the students to tackle the exams fearlessly. Support classes and extra hours were put in and the laudable efforts were supported and appreciated by the parent community.

Grade X and XII Scores: A New Frontier

The days leading up to the results were nerve-racking, to say the least. In an unprecedented move, both Grade X and Xll results were declared on the same day within hours of each other on July 22. The students brought laurels to the school by bagging 100 percent results, which included a total of 49 centum. Emotions ran high. There was gaiety and happiness all around. Phone calls and messages are still pouring in from students and parents alike!

So, how did we turn a hostile situation into a positive and memorable learning experience for our students?

The answer is simple enough. All students are vivacious learners.  Knowing that, we gave them that loving nudge to achieve more, a gentle push in the right direction, identified the red flags early on and transformed the journey into a beautiful one - something they will surely cherish their entire lives!  Yes, we are enjoying the sweet, sweet fruits of labour!
